[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시 보건소가 국민건강증진법 개정에 따라 건전한 음주 문화조성을 위해 음주폐해 예방을 위한 조례 제정을 추진한다. 

이에따라, 조례 제정을 통해 관내 도시공원시설 25개소, 어린이 놀이시설 80개소에 금주 구역을 지정하여 음주 환경을 개선한다는 계획이다.

이 같은 조치는, 음주로 인한 위장질환, 심혈관질환, 알코올성 지방간 등 질병과 음주로 겪게 되는 가정폭력, 임신성 중독(거대아 출산) 등으로부터 시민들을 지키고 건강하고 건전한 음주문화를 만들기 위해 마련됐다.

시는, 조례 제정이 마무리되면 금주 구역에 안내판을 설치하여 시민들에게 적극 홍보할 계획이며, 조례 제정 후 과태료 부과 사항에 대하여는 1년의 유예 기간을 둘 예정이다.

삼척시 보건소 관계자는 “여러 사람이 이용하는 공원을 금주 구역으로 지정하여 음주로 인한 폐해를 예방하고 안전한 생활환경을 조성하겠다.”고 전했다.
