[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시가 농림축산식품부 주관  2023년 청년농촌보금자리 조성사업 신규지구에 선정됐다.

귀농귀촌 청년들을 위한 보금자리 조성사업은 주택 제공에 따른 주거비 부담 완화, 대상지 내에 보육시설 설치로 개인의 육아부담을 최소화시켜주는 등 농촌의 인구 재생산 기능을 강화하는 사업이다.

시는, 2023년부터 2025년까지 3년간 80억 원(국비 40, 도비 7, 시비 33)을 투입하여 원덕읍 산양리 114-3번지(자연생태공원 부지 내) 11,500㎡ 면적에 보금자리주택(공공임대주택) 30호, 공동육아시설, 입주자들이 함께할 수 있는 커뮤니티 시설 등을 조성할 계획이다.

또한, 삼척시는 올해 농림축산식품부 공모사업인 지역특화 임대형 스마트팜 조성사업에도 선정되어, 2024년까지 2년간 총사업비 200억 원(국비 140, 도비 18, 시비 42)을 투입하여 원덕읍 산양리 일원 6ha에 온실 4ha를 조성할 예정이다.

시는 ‘청년농촌보금자리 조성사업’과 ‘지역특화 임대형 스마트팜 조성사업’을 연계하여 원덕읍 산양리 일원을 강원 남부권 스마트팜 거점도시로 조성하고, 스마트팜과 연계된 로컬푸드복합센터를 통해 청년 일자리도 마련할 계획이다. 

김상우 농정과장은 “이번 사업으로 농촌 지역에 창의적인 아이디어와 새로운 생활양식을 갖춘 청년들이 유입됨에 따라 기존 농촌 공동체에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대한다.”고 전했다.
