[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 26일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 학교측의 요청으로 산본중학교를 방문하여 학교 및 교육지원청 관계자, 학교운영위원장, 학부모회장 등과 함께 산본중학교의 현안을 협의하는 자리를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이 자리에서는 최근 산본중학교가 추진하고 있는 총사업비 30억 원 규모의 다목적체육관 증축 사업 추진사항 보고와 함께 사업추진 어려움에 대한 논의가 심도있게 진행되었다고 했다.

 
학교측 관계자는 교사부지와 체육관부지 간의 고도차로 인해 토목공사, 건축공사, 필로티 스프링클러 설치 등으로 당초 계획보다 공사진행에 어려움이 예상되고 있다는 점과 외곽순환도로 진출입로에 가까운 위치, 고지대 경사면에 따른 공사차량 진출입에 대한 문제 등을 언급하며, 사업추진에 많은 어려움이 예상되는 만큼 공사진행에 적극적인 관심을 가져줄 것을 요청했다고 말했다.

이에 정윤경 위원장은 학교관계자들과 협의를 마친 후 증축예정지를 돌아봤다. 정 위원장은 “산본의 중심에 위치한 산본중학교의 많은 학생들이 미세먼지 등 환경조건에 영향을 받지 않고 언제든 안전하게 체육활동을 할 수 있는 다목적체육관 마련이 절실했던 만큼 교육기획위원장으로서 관심을 갖고 지원할 부분이 있다면 적극적인 지원을 해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다. 

산본중학교 체육관은 지형적인 요인으로 인한 기술적인 어려움 등으로 그동안 체육관 추진에 어려움을 겪어오다 최근 사업이 확정되어 추진되고 있다고 했다.
