군도 6개 노선 5.65km에 38억원, 농어촌도로 20개 노선 22.2km에 138억원 등 총 26개 노선 27.85km에 176억원을 투입해 실시설계용역, 편입토지 보상 및 공사를 추진할 계획이며, 홍천군은 전형적인 농촌 군(郡)으로 전국에서 가장 큰 면적을 자랑하는 만큼 도로연장 또한 방대하고 귀농귀촌 인구의 지속적 증가로 인해 교통망 확충은 절실한 상황이라고 했다.

이에 따라 농산물 생산유통 원활 및 농촌지역 생활환경 개선, 도로교통서비스 개선을 위한 사업을 추진하고 있으며, 군도와 농어촌도로의 교통망 확충을 위해 매년 지속적인 투자로 쾌적하고 편리한 정주여건 조성에 최선을 다할 방침이라고 전했다.
