[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시는 지난 16일, '2022년 3분기 통합방위협의회' 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

동두천통합방위협의회는 민관군경 상호 간의 유기적인 협조와 지원체계를 구축하여 전시 및 비상사태 발생 시 지역 방위를 총괄하는 협의기구이다.

이날 회의는 코로나19로 인해 지난 2019년 10월 마지막 개최 이후, 3년여 만에 열린 회의로, 을지연습과 연계하여 국지도발상황을 가정한 위기관리대응 훈련의 일환으로 개최되었으며, 정부의 을지연습 실시와 관련하여 지역 통합방위태세 안정화 및 지원에 관한 주제가 논의되었다.

한편, 동두천시는 전국적으로 실시되는 2022년 을지연습에 따라 오는 22일 공무원 비상소집 명령 발령 후, 25일까지 3박4일 동안 국가 전면전 상황 발생을 가정한 전시대비연습 훈련을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
