[김준호 기자 = 영월군]영월군농업기술센터에서는 미래 농업의 희망인 청년4-H회원의 육성 및 경쟁력 제고를 위하여 지난 13일부터 14일까지 1박 2일간 강원도 강릉시, 양양군 일원에서 선진지 견학 및 문화체험을 실시하였다.

양양군 소재 배배젤라또에서 농산물 가공을 통하여 부가가치를 생산하는 농가를 방문하고 양양군농업기술센터의 도움으로 첨단 스마트팜 시설을 견학하였으며, 전통주 생산농가를 방문하는 등 농산물의 생산, 가공 및 마케팅까지 꿈꾸는 청년회원의 특성에 맞추어 견학을 실시하였다.

무릉도원면 일대에서 흑염소를 사육하는 영월군4-H연합회 신현도 회장은 이번 기회를 통하여 ‘바쁜 일상에서 잠시 벗어나 농촌 청년간의 끈끈한 유대를 만들고 신기술 및 가공 창업에 대한 아이디어를 얻을 수 있었다.’고 전했다.

영월군은 앞으로도 영월군 4-H회 및 청년농업인의 발전을 위하여 다각도로 지원할 것이라고 밝혔다.
