[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 9일 가평군은 국민권익위원회가 실시한 ‘2021년도 공공기관 청렴도 측정결과’에서 종합청렴도가 지난해 3등급에서 2등급으로 상승했다고 밝혔다.

권익위가 발표한 이번 측정결과에서 군은 외부청렴도와 내부청렴도 모두 전국평균보다  높은 점수를 받아 종합청렴도 2등급 평가를 받았다고 했다. 

가평군은 기관내 청렴도를 제고하기 위해 1월부터 간부공무원 청렴실천 서약식을 개최하고 내부 직원들의 청렴에 대한 인식 제고를 위해 청렴실천 캠페인, 청탁금지 모의훈련, 청렴콘서트, 부서별 청렴활동 평가 등 일상 업무 곳곳에서 청렴을 제고 할 수 있는 다양한 시책을 추진해왔고, 또한 공사, 보조금, 재세정, 인허가 분야 민원대상을 추출하여 자체적으로 공직자 청렴의식을 조사하는 등 객관적인 공직자의 청렴실태를 점검하여 주민들이 직접 가평군 공직자의 청렴정도를 확인 할 수 있도록 하였다고 했다.

군 관계자는 “이번 청렴도 상승은 공직자 모두가 노력한 결과로 청렴도는 공직자가 지켜야 할 가장 중요한 덕목이라”며 “청렴도 향상에 더욱 노력해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 국민권익위원회는 지난해 7월부터 올해 6월까지 중앙부처·지방자치단체·교육청·공직유관단체 등 592개 공공기관을 대상으로 ‘2021년 공공기관 청렴도’를 측정한 바 있다고 했다.
