[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 30일 원주지방환경청은 청사 3층 회의실에서 폐기물 수출·입에 대한 업무정보를 공유하고 안전한 사후관리 방안을 논의하기 위한 폐기물 수출·입 관계기관 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.  

그간 원주지방환경청은 폐기물 수출·입 업체 및 관계기관을 대상으로 교육과 업무협업을 통해 수출·입 폐기물의 안전관리를 강화해왔다. 

이번 간담회에서는 한국환경공단, 동해세관 등 폐기물 수출·입 관계기관과 사업장이 참석했으며 석탄재, 폐타이어의 국내 수입 제한을 주요 내용으로 하는 ‘국내 폐기물 재활용 촉진을 위해 수입이 제한되는 폐기물 품목 고시 개정’에 대해 설명하고 요건승인, 통관 절차 등을 안내하고 협조 사항을 공유하는 시간을 가졌다. 

김정환 원주지방환경청장은 “이번 간담회를 통해 관계기관 간의 적극적인 협업으로 수출·입 폐기물의 적정한 관리와 국내 폐기물 재활용 촉진이 이루어질 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
