이날 방문한 대상자는 왕래하는 보호자 없이 혼자 생활하고 있는 독거노인가구로, 묵안2리 제갈OO 어르신(여, 81세) 댁을 찾아 평소 생활하면서 불편하신 것은 없는지 확인했으며, 쌀과 라면 후원물품을 전달하며 혹한기 유의사항을 말씀드리고 비상연락처를 안내하는 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

이범주 설악면장은 “추운 날씨에 홀로 계시는 어르신들이 걱정되어 이곳에 왔다.”면서 “한파가 찾아오면 독거노인들의 건강 및 안전이 늘 걱정된다. 어르신들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다. 

이희도 맞춤형 복지팀장은 “찾아가는 복지상담으로 관내 홀몸 어르신들을 수시로 살펴 겨울철 안전과 건강을 꼼꼼히 챙기고 추운 계절 평온히 지내실 수 있도록 지원하겠다.”고 전했다.

한편 설악면행정복지센터 맞춤형 복지팀은 작년 12월 30일부터 관내 독거노인 가구 22가구를 방문하여 어르신들의 안부를 확인하고 쌀과 라면, 휴지, 파스 등의 후원물품을 전달했으며, 지속적으로 관내 취약계층 가구의 안부 확인을 실시 할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
