[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군과 가평군공무원노동조합이 지난 7월 6일 일회용컵 사용 줄이기 캠페인을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인은 서태원 가평군수의 공직사회의 선도적인 실천으로 가정과 지역사회로 확산시키자는 '실천주의 군정철학'에 가평군공무원노동조합이 호응하면서 이루어졌다. 

이날 캠페인에서는 가평군공무원노동조합 출범 5주년을 맞아 다회용컵 800개를 구입하여 조합원에게 배부하였고, 노사가 함께 일회용품 줄이기에 공직사회에서부터 앞장 설 것을 결의 했다.

서태원 가평군수는 "일회용컵 회수율은 5%정도 수준으로, 회수되지 않은 95%가량은 재활용이 가능하지만 길거리에 쓰레기로 버려져 소각되거나 매립된다."며 "청사 내 텀블러 사용을 통한 환경보호에 동참해달라"고 독려했다.
