[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 27일 의정부시 장암동은 의정부시 자원회수시설의 위탁업체인 ㈜우주엔비텍에서 겨울철 복지사각지대와 소외된 이웃을 위해 써달라며 이웃나눔 쌀 100kg을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

의정부시 자원회수시설은 위탁업체와 함께 2012년부터 11년째 어려운 이웃을 위한 기부 활동에 앞장서고 있으며, 특히 매년 추석과 설 명절에 취약계층을 위한 이불·쌀 등을 꾸준히 지원해 지역 내 나눔문화 확산에 큰 힘이 되고 있다고 했다.

박재범 장암동장은 “코로나19의 장기화로 모두 힘든 상황임에도, 어려운 이웃을 위한 나눔에 동참해주셔서 감사드린다”며 “이웃을 위한 따뜻한 마음을 취약계층 분들께 소중히 전달하겠다”고 감사의 마음을 전했다.

장암동주민센터에서는 어려운 이웃을 위한 성금·현물 기부를 상시 접수하고 있으며, 누구나 참여할 수 있고, 장암동 주민센터에 방문하거나 전화해 기부에 동참할 수 있다고 밝혔다.
