[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 10월 21일 양주시 고읍동 소재의 여주 가정식백반은 양주시 회천노인복지관에 김치와 미역줄기볶음 1.8L 20통을 기부했다고 밝혔다.

이미자 여주 가정식백반 대표는 “갑자기 추워진 날씨로 거동이 불편하신 어르신들에게 김치와 미역줄기볶음을 전달하여 어르신들이 식사하시는데 조금이나마 도움이 되셨으면 좋겠고, 복지관에서 어르신 반찬으로 활용해주셨으면 좋겠다”며 소감을 밝혔다. 

고읍동 소재의 여주 가정식백반은 직·공장새마을운동양주시협의회와 연이 닿아 양주시 회천노인복지관 기부에 동참하게 되었다고 했다. 

양주시 회천노인복지관 주민정 관장은 “겨울이 다가오는 시기에 김치와 미역줄기볶음 반찬을 기부해주신 이미자 여주 가정식백반 대표님에게 감사드리며, 기부해주신 김치와 미역줄기볶음은 복지관 경로식당과 거동이 불편하신 어르신들에게 전달하겠다”고 말했다. 

한편 양주시 회천노인복지관은 관내 단체로부터 지속적으로 후원개발활동을 하고 있으며, 복지관 내 어르신들에게 생필품, 식품 등 양질의 후원물품을 지속적으로 전달 받고 있다고 밝혔다.
