[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 26일 설악면 지역사회보장협의체는 설악면행정복지센터 2층 대회의실에서 법무법인 혜강과 관내 복지대상자 등에게 무료법률 상담을 제공하기 위한 ‘알고 보면 쓸모 있는 법률상담’ 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 2022년 설악면 마을복지계획 중 하나로 추진되는 ‘알고 보면 쓸모 있는 법률상담’ 사업의 추진을 위한 것으로, 이를 통해 설악면 관내 주민 중 법률정보지원이 필요한 대상자에게 무료 법률 상담서비스를 제공하고 경제적·사회적 문제 등으로 법률정보 접근이 어려운 법률복지 사각지대를 해소할 수 있게 됐다고 했다. 

이범주 설악면장은 “이번 협약에 흔쾌히 응해주신 하명진 변호사 님께 감사드린다. 사업의 적극적인 홍보와 함께 현재 추진되고 있는 가평군 마을변호사 사업과 연계된다면 설악면 법률 복지 증진에 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다”라고 말했다.

이영재 민간위원장은 “협약기관 간에 업무협조가 원할히 이뤄질 수 있도록, 대상자 발굴과 법률상담 카드를 제공하는데, 적극 협조하겠다“라고 전했다.

하명진 변호사는 “지난 10년간 변호사 생활을 하며 마음이 머물 곳을 찾던 중 가평군 설악면이 와 닿았고 이곳에 정착하기 위해 내려왔다. 대도시의 법원 인근에서만 법률상담 수요가 크다고 생각하지 않으며, 지역 주민에게 맞춤형 법률상담을 하고 소통한다면 ‘알고 보면 쓸모 있는 법률상담’이라는 사업명처럼 정말 쓸모있는 법률상담이 될 것이다.”라고 말했으며, 이어 “지역을 위해 봉사하고 싶다는 마음을 항상 갖고 있었는데, 이범주 설악면장 님께서 사업을 먼저 제안하시어 다시 한번 감사드린다”라고 말했다.

이번 사업은 상담희망자가 법률 상담카드를 작성하여 맞춤형복지팀에 제출 후 상담일정·방법이 결정되면 전화상담·대면상담·이메일 상담 중 1가지 방법으로 상담이 이루어지게 된다고 밝혔다.
