기자: 8일 가평군은 제51회 어버이날을 맞아 기념행사 및 문화공연을 한석봉체육관에서 개최했습니다.

행사에는 서태원 가평군수, 최정용 가평군의장 및 군의원들, 최춘식 국회의원, 임광현 도의원, 관내 어르신들 등 700여명이 참석했습니다.

이날 서태원 군수는 자녀들을 위해 노력한 어르신들을 존경한다며, 앞으로 어르신들이 즐겁고 행복할 수 있도록 노력하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

서태원 군수: 사랑하고 존경하는 어르신 여러분. 가슴에 카네이션을 달고 계신 어르신들을 뵈니 먼저 너무나 감사하고 존경스러운 마음이 앞섭니다. 

그동안 나를 위해서가 아닌 부모님을 모시고 자녀들을 뒷바라지하며 쉼 없이 앞만 보고 노력하신 자랑스러운 아버님 어머님들의 노고에 깊은 감사의 말씀을 올립니다. 부모님의 사랑 잊지 않겠습니다. 감사합니다.
