위탁내용은 산림사업 중 숲가꾸기사업을 영월군산림조합에 일괄 위탁 시행하는 방안으로 정책숲가꾸기, 공익숲가꾸기 등이 포함되며, 영월군은 사업비 배정과 지도․감독을 영월군산림조합은 사업발주 및 사업감독 등 역할 분담을 하게 된다.

상호간 협약을 통해 산림자원분야 전문경영 체제 전환에 따라 사업효과가 제고되고 일괄적이고 체계적인 사업추진 및 관리가 가능하며, 현장 중심의 산림사업 추진이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
