[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시는 도민체전 D-100일을 맞아 23일 오전 10시 강릉시자원봉사센터와 ‘2023년 양대체전의 자원봉사 운영을 위한 업무협약식’을 체결한다고 23일 밝혔다.

오는 6월 3일부터 개최되는 제58회 강원도민체육대회의 성공적인 개최와 원활한 운영을 위해 자원봉사자 모집과 선발, 교육 및 운영관리 등 체계적인 협력네트워크를 구축하기로 했다.

이번 협약식에는 강릉시와 공동 개최하는 강릉시체육회 및 강릉시장애인체육회 관계자도 함께 참석하여 대회의 성공적인 개최를 위한 기원에 힘을 보탠다.

2003년 이후 20년 만에 강릉에서 개최되는 이번 강원도민체육대회는 시·군 선수단 및 응원단 12,000여 명이 한자리에 모여 42개 종목에서 선의의 경쟁을 펼친다.

제58회 강원도민체육대회는 6월 3일부터 7일까지, 제16회 강원도장애인생활체육대회는 6월 14일부터 16일까지 개최된다. 

최길영 강릉시자원봉사센터 이사장은 “도내 최대 규모의 체육행사 개최지인 강릉에서 선수와 방문객들의 불편함을 최소화하고, 두 대회 모두 성황리에 마무리될 수 있도록 자원봉사 인력 운영에 적극적으로 협력해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
