[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 정신건강복지센터가 지난 17일 장성응급처치전문의용소방대와 지역 내 자살고위험군을 위한 네트워크 강화 및 자살예방 협력체계 구축 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 업무협약에 따라 양 기관은 자살 고위험군 발굴 및 연계를 위한 지역 생명지킴이 역량 강화와 생명지킴이 양성교육, 인명과 재난 발생시 응급처치, 생명존중 문화조성을 위해 상호 협력하기로 했다.

정숙경 센터장은 “이번 협약을 통해 복지 사각지대 자살고위험군 및 유족들이 삶의 위기를 극복할 수 있도록 돕고, 자살을 예방할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
