[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11일부터 오는 15일까지, 가평소방서는 봄철 벚꽃이 개화함에 따라 본격적으로 행락철을 맞아 닷새간 자라섬캠핑장 등 가평군 소재 17개소 캠핑장을 대상으로 화재 및 안전사고를 예방하기 위한 합동 안전점검을 시행한다 밝혔다.

봄철 화재 및 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 실시되는 이번 합동 안전점검은 가평소방서 소방특별점검단과 가평군청 관광과 관광기획팀이 함께 시설 안전점검 및 소방·전기·가스 등 관리 상태 확인 및 화재 위험 요소를 사전 제거하는 활동을 펼치게 되며, 또한 이번 점검에서는 야영장 관계자를 대상으로 기존 사고 사례 안내를 통한 현장 위험 요소를 사전 진단하는 안전컨설팅도 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

최근 3년간 경기북부 소재의 야영장 등에서 발생한 화재는 총 23건으로, 지난 2019년 6건에서 2020년 7건, 2021년 10건으로 꾸준히 증가 추세에 있으며, 2명의 부상자가 발생하기도 했다고 전했다.
