[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 본격적인 봄철을 맞아 무분별한 임산물 굴·채취로 인한 산림피해를 예방하기 위해 봄철 산림 내 불법행위 특별단속에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이번 단속은 ‘선계도 후단속’ 원칙에 따라 이달 말까지 홍보에 집중하고, 오는 4월 1일부터 5월 31일까지는 특별단속 기간으로 불법행위에 대한 엄정한 법 집행을 통한 경각심 고취 및 사회질서 확립을 위해 추진된다고 했다.

태백시는 직원들로 구성된 특별 단속반을 편성해 불법 굴·채취 행위, 멸종위기종, 관성식물 채취 및 훼손 행위, 무분별한 산나물·산야초 채취 행위, 입산통제구역 무단입산행위 등을 단속할 예정이라고 전했다.

단속을 통해 위법사항이 적발되면 산림보호법 등 관련 법령에 의거 엄중 처벌할 방침이라고 전했다.

태백시 관계자는 “건전한 산행 문화가 정착되도록 홍보활동을 병행해 노력하겠다”며 “봄철 산불조심기간 입산 시 화기를 소지하지 않도록 산불예방에 적극 협조해 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.
