[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평소방서는 지난 22일 최진만 제11대 가평소방서장이 가평군 소재 현충탑 참배를 시작으로 가평소방서에서의 첫 업무를 시작했다고 전했다.

이날 현충탑 참배는 순국선열과 순직소방관을 추모하고 숭고한 정신과 넋을 기리기 위해 분향에 임하였으며, 추념식을 통해 공직자로서 애국정신을 고취하고 시민의 안전에 대한 책임감과 사명감을 되새겼다. 

이후 최진만 서장은 본서로 돌아와 취임식을 통해 가평소방서장으로서의 새출발의 의지를 다졌다.

또한 가평군의 안전을 위해 가평군수, 가평부군수, 가평군의장, 가평경찰서장 등을 방문하여 취임 인사 및 유관기관의 공조체계를 더욱 확고히 하는 시간을 갖었다.

최진만 가평소방서장은 “모든 직원이 하나가 되어 화재·구조·구급활동 뿐만 아니라 가평군의 지역적 특성에 맞는 예방대책, 점검 등을 통하여 안전한 가평군을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
