[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 국민의힘 서태원 가평군수 후보는 5월 25일 가평군청 앞 회전교차로에서 아침 인사를 하며 유권자 마음 잡기에 나섰다.

서 후보는 이날 오전 가평군의회 비례대표 이진옥 후보와 함께 출근하는 군민들과 공직자들에게 인사를 하며 지지를 호소했다.

서 후보는 "새로운 가평의 미래를 서태원이 만들 수 있도록 가평군민들께서 도와달라"며 "행정전문가의 능력과 도덕성을 철저히 따져보고 검증해 가평군과 가평군민의 품격을 높일 수 있는 후보인 서태원을 선택해 달라"고 강조했다.

한편, 서 후보는 이날 가평군을 방문하는 국민의힘 김은혜 경기지사 후보와 정책협약을 체결하고, 중앙선거관리위원회 주관 ‘가평군수 후보 토론회’에 참석하여 민주당 송기욱 후보와 양자 간 토론에 나선다고 전했다.
