[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원소방본부는 봄철을 맞아 농기계 사용이 늘면서 안전사고 발생 가능성이 높아「봄철 농기계 119안전예고제」를 발령하며 농민들의 각별한 주의를 당부한다고 밝혔다.

 

절기상 춘분을 지나며 농가에서도 한해 농사를 시작하며 분주한 농번기에 접어들고, 농사 준비와 아울러  농기계 사용빈도가 증가하며 안전사고율도 높아지고 있다. 특히 4월말에서 5월까지가 많이 발생한다고 했다.

 

지난 3년간(‘19∼‘21년) 도내 농업기계 안전사고는 822건이 발생하여 725명(사망10, 부상715)의 인명피해가 발생했으며, 영농을 시작하는 봄철과 가을 수확철에 사고 빈도가 가장 높다고 했다.

- 봄철 영농기(3∼5월) : 226건(27%)

- 가을 수확철(8∼10월) : 312건(37%)

 

원인별 사고현황은 낙상·추락 161건(20%), 끼임․깔림 146건(18%), 교통사고 142건(17%), 베임․절단 122건(15%), 전도․전복 81건(10%), 기타 170건 순으로 발생했다고 전했다.

 

농업기계별 사고현황은 경운기가 354건(43%)으로 가장 많았으며, 트랙터  222건(27%), 예초기 134건(16%), 기타 농기계 71건(9%) 순이며, 연령별로는 60․70대 429건(52%), 40․50대 174건(21%) 등 순으로 발생하여, 60대 이상의 고령층에서 절반이상의 사고 비율을 차지한다고 했다.

또한 춘곤증으로 인하여 집중력이 떨어지기 쉬우므로 작업 중간에 충분한 휴식을 가지는 것도 안전사고 예방에 효과적이라고 전했다.

 

특히 농기계를 정비 할때에는 반드시 전원을 차단하고 실시하며 농기계 회전체나 덮개 등이 손상되면 즉시 교체하는 것도 안전사고 예방을 위한 지름길이라고 했다.

 

농기계 안전사고 예방을 위한 5대 안전수칙은 음주운전 절대 금지, 농기계 등화장치(반사판) 설치, 전벨트, 보호안경 등 보호장구 착용철저, 농기계에는 가급 한사람만 탑승(시야·레바 조작시 방해), 작업 전·후 안전점검 생활화 등을 준수하여야 한다고 했다.
