[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 오는 20일 양주종합관광안내센터 주차장에서 어린이 통학버스 안전사고 예방을 위해 어린이 통학버스 관계부처 합동점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

어린이 통학버스 합동점검은 통학버스 운전자와 운영자가 관계법령과 규정을 준수해 운영할 수 있도록 매년 상·하반기마다 실시하는 차량 안전 점검이다.

이번 합동점검에는 양주시와 양주경찰서, 한국교통안전공단 경기북부본부 등이 참여한다.

점검대상은 통학버스 신고·접수한 어린이집, 2022년 분기별 통학버스 안전운행기록 미제출 시설, 통학버스 교통안전교육 2년 내 재교육 미이수 시설 어린이 통학버스와 지역아동센터에서 운용하는 어린이 통학버스이다.

주요 점검내용은 어린이 통학버스 미신고 및 소유자 변경 여부, 어린이 통학버스 요건 구비 여부, 통학버스 운전자 등 안전교육 이수 여부, 어린이 통학버스 안전운행기록 제출 여부 등이다.

양주시는 이번 안전점검에서 적발된 위반사항에 대해서는 현장에서 즉각 계도하고 추후 지적사항이 개선되지 않았을 경우 과태료 부과 등 행정 조치할 예정이다.

양주시 관계자는 “어린이통학버스와 관련한 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 유관기관과 점검사항을 꼼꼼히 살펴 아이와 부모가 행복하고 안전한 보육환경을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.
