[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 경기도는 봄철 구제역 발생 예방을 위해 4월 한 달간 도내 소·염소 등 우제류 농가 전체(9,272호, 49만 6,000마리)를 대상으로 구제역백신 일제 접종을 추진한다고 29일 밝혔다.

경기도는 2017년 9월부터 매년 소·염소를 대상으로 구제역 예방을 위한 일제 접종을 하고 있다. 

접종 백신은 국내 발생 유형인 A형과 O형 방어가 모두 가능한 2가 상시 백신으로 소규모 사육 농가(소 50두 미만, 염소 전농가, 이하 소규모)에 대해서는 공수의사를 통한 백신접종 시술을 지원한다. 

한편, 고령 등의 이유로 백신접종이 어려운 전업 규모(소 50두 이상) 축산농가도 관할 읍·면·동사무소에 지원 신청하면 구제역 예방접종 시술을 지원받을 수 있다.

예방접종 백신 구입 비용은 소규모 농가는 시·군별로 일괄 구입(전액 지원)해 농가에 공급하고, 전업 규모 농가에는 농가가 직접 축협동물병원에서 구매(50% 지원)한다. 

도는 이번 구제역백신 일제 예방접종이 완벽하게 이행되도록 접종 4주 이내 항체 검사를 할 예정이다.

경기도의 `23년 2월 구제역 평균 항체 양성률은 소 97.8%, 돼지 95.2%로 전국 최고 수준이지만 앞으로도 촘촘한 예방관리로 높은 항체 양성률을 유지해 나간다는 계획이다.
