[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 15일, 의정부시는 3월 새학기를 맞이해 어린이 통학버스 안전사고 예방을 위한 관계기관 합동 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

관내 어린이집 10개소 통학버스 11대의 점검에는 의정부시(보육과, 교통지도과)와 의정부경찰서, 한국교통안전공단이 함께 실시했으며, 합동 점검에서는 어린이 통합버스 미신고 운행, 종합보험 가입 여부, 안전교육 이수 여부 및 하차 확인 장치 설치와 작동 및 어린이 좌석 안전띠 결함 여부 등을 점검했으며 15건의 경미한 지적사항에 대해서는 현장 지도 및 개선 조치를 시행했다고 전했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “어린이집 원장 교육과 안전 점검을 지속적으로 실시해 안전한 보육환경을 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
