[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2022년 1월부터 2월까지, 고성군이 겨울철 고위험 위기가구에 대하여 복지사각지대 집중 발굴·지원에 나선다고 밝혔다. 

이번 겨울은 장기화된 코로나19에 따른 경기 침체로 실직, 휴·폐업등에 처한 위기가정에 도움의 손길이 더욱 필요한 시기가 됐고, 이에 따라 고성군은 코로나19로 생계 곤란한 가구 이외에, 겨울철 전기, 가스 등 난방에 어려움을 겪고 있는 가구 등 주거 취약가구, 독거어르신, 장애인, 취약 아동 등 겨울철 위기가 예상되는 고위험군을 중점 발굴할 계획이라고 전했다. 

특히, 9월부터 실시된 복지멤버십을 통해 대상자의 경제 상황을 주기적으로 확인하여 수급이 예상되는 서비스를 선제적으로 안내할 계획이며, 생계급여 부양의무자 기준폐지, 주거급여 선정기준 완화 등 기초생활보장제도의 보장성이 강화됨에 따른 신규수급자를 적극 발굴 하고 소득·재산기준에는 미달되지만 복합적인 문제를 가진 가구의 경우 통합 사례관리 대상자로 선정하여 필요한 복지서비스 및 후원 물품 등 민간서비스를 제공한다고 했다. 

박행봉 주민복지실장은 “복지사각지대에 놓인 소외계층이 안전하게 겨울을 나기 위해서는 이웃을 돌아보는 지역사회의 관심과 배려가 무엇보다 중요하다”며 주변에 생활이 어렵거나 도움이 필요한 이웃이 있을 경우 적절한 서비스를 신속히 받을 수 있도록 가까운 읍면동 주민센터나 보건복지콜센터로 연락해 줄 것“을 당부했다고 말했다.
