[채창묵 기자 = 고성군] 대교그룹과 고성군, 강원도가 함께 설립한 해양심층수 전문기업 ㈜강원심층수(대표:천병수)가 고성군에 거주하는 저소득층 아동∙청소년들을 위해 3천 5백만원 상당의 전집 도서를 지난 2일 기증했다.

기증된 도서는 대교그룹의 영어, 역사, 세계 역사 전집 등 3000여권으로, 고성군을 통해 교육 지원이 필요한 어린이들에게 전달될 예정이다.

강원심층수를 비롯한 대교그룹은 지난 2011년 고성군과 1사(社) 1촌(村) 캠페인의 일환으로 자매결연을 맺고 도서 및 학습 지원, 지역축제 지원, 자연재해 피해 구호품으로 해양심층수를 기부하는 등 다양한 지역사회 공헌 활동을 펼치고 있다.

강원심층수 천병수 대표는 “겨울 방학을 앞두고 사랑의 손길이 필요한 아이들에게 좋은 선물을 할 수 있어 기쁘다.”며 “앞으로도 다양한 나눔 활동을 통해 지역주민들에게 자랑스러운 기업이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
