[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 15일, 의정부시자원봉사센터는 임인년 정월대보름을 맞아 독거어르신을 지원하기 위한 ‘사계절건강지킴이’ 프로그램을 진행하였다고 밝혔다. 

이번 행사는 녹양종합사회복지관에서 진행되었으며, 녹양동에 거주중인 독거어르신 50명을 대상으로 정월대보름을 맞아 자원봉사자들이 직접 오곡밥 및 나물을 만들었으며, 녹양종합사회복지관에서 독거 어르신 가구에 전달하였다고 했다.

의정부시자원봉사센터에서 진행하는 ‘사계절건강지킴이’는 재능봉사활동의 활성화를 위하여 기획된 재능봉사 활성화 사업의 일환으로 올해 자원봉사센터의 재능봉사활동에는 양심우산만들기, 동행(동생의 행복) 대학생 멘토링 자원봉사 활동 등 다양한 재능봉사활동이 예정되어 있어 큰 기대를 모으고 있다고 전했다. 

의정부시자원봉사센터 이용걸 이사장은 “임인년 새해를 맞아 힘들게 생활하시는 독거어르신들에게 의미 있는 선물이 되었으면 좋겠다.”며“의정부시의 다양한 재능봉사활동의 발전을 위하여 더욱 노력하는 자원봉사센터가 되겠다.”라고 하였다.
