[남상훈 기자 = 고성군] 고성군은 다가오는 겨울철 한랭질환 피해에 선제적으로 대응하고 원활한 대중교통 이용·활성화를 위해 버스대기소 12개소에 온열 의자를 설치할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

고성군은 현재까지 버스대기소 49개소를 교체하고 온열의자 59개소를 설치하여 지역주민들의 한랭질환 대비 및 버스 이용의 불편함을 해소하는 등 대중교통 활성화를 위한 정책을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.

연말까지 사업비 4,500만원 전액 도비로 설치되는 온열 의자는 냉·온열 기능을 탑재하여 사계절 이용할 수 있는 기능성 의자다. 겨울철 뿐만 아니라 여름철 온열질환 예방에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

고성군은 설치 후에도 철저한 사후관리를 통해 고장 및 오작동의 불편 사항을 사전에 예방해 군민들의 불편이 최소화되도록 노력할 계획이다.

군 관계자는 “올겨울 온열 의자 설치로 한파로부터 군민들의 건강을 지키는 데 도움이 되길 바라며, 추후 설치가 필요한 버스대기소는 내년도 군비를 확보하여 사업을 추진하겠다.”라고 말했다.
