[남기환 기자=경기 북부] 지난 10일 영하 20도의 한파로 인해 연탄 보일러, 화장실이 동파된 취약계층의 독거노인 가구들이 있어 소속 봉사단체인 로컬드림봉사회는 소요동 취약계층 2세대를 방문하여 무료 집 수리 지원 서비스를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

로컬드림봉사회 회장은 “소요동의 취약계층, 특히 어르신들께 어려움 발생하면, 이제는 바로 로컬드림으로 연락이 온다. 주기적으로 안부 확인을 위해 방문을 하니, 믿고 의지하는 관계가 된 것 같다.”고 말했다고 밝혔다.

 이에 소요동 행정복지센터 업무관계자는 “긴급하게 연계해야하는 복지민원을 로컬드림봉사회에서 적극 지원하며, 동 복지업무에 큰 도움을 주고 있다.”고 감사를 표했다고 밝혔다.

The chairman of the Local Dream Volunteers said, “When difficulties arise for the vulnerable, especially the elderly, in Soyo-dong, the local Dream is immediately contacted. I regularly visit to check my safety, so it seems like I have a trusting relationship.”

  Soyo-dong Administrative Welfare Center officials expressed their gratitude, saying, “The local Dream Volunteers actively supports welfare complaints that need to be connected urgently, and they are giving great help to the welfare work.”
