[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 화천군은 연내 간동면 오음마을에서 진행 중인 LPG 배관망 구축사업을 완료하고, 준비가 마무리 되는대로 연료 공급을 개시할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 

화천군은 지난 2017년 전국에서 처음으로 정부의 군 단위 LPG 배관망 사업 대상자로 선정됐으며 2019년까지 총 170억원의 사업비를 투입해 화천읍 일대 1,525가구에 배관망 구축을 완료한 후 LPG를 공급하고 있고 이후 상서면 산양1~3리와 신대리, 하남면 위리라 등에 마을단위 LPG 저장탱크와 배관망을 확장했다.

지난해 7월 착공한 오음마을 배관망 구축사업은 총사업비 36억7,500만원을 투입해 LPG 소형저장탱크를 조성하고, 오음 1, 2리 214세대에 공급배관과 보일러 등을 설치하는 것이 주요 내용이며 지난해와 올해 2차에 걸친 주민설명회를 연데 이어 최근 공급관 및 저장탱크 설비를 완료하고, 세대별 보일러 설치에 한창이다.

이와 함께 지난 3월 착공한 상서면 다목1리 LPG 소형저장탱크 보급사업 역시 이르면 11월 중 준공될 전망이며 10억원이 투입된 이 사업은 다목1리 83세대에 소형저장탱크와 공급배관을 통해 LPG를 공급하고, 보일러를 설치하는 것을 목표로 하고 있으며 나아가 내년 중 총사업비 110억원이 투입되는 사내면 사창리 LPG 배관망 구축사업도 마무리될 예정이어서 화천군민들의 정주여건 역시 크게 개선될 것으로 기대되고 배관망을 통해 LPG를 공급받으면 등유보다 20%, LPG 배달용기보다 40%가량 비용을 절감할 수 있다.

최문순 화천군수는 “군민들의 주거 난방비 부담이 줄어들 수 있도록 사업추진에 만전을 기하겠다”고 강조했다.
