[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양구군보건소는 만 65세 노인들을 대상으로 올해 연중 폐렴구균 예방접종을 무료로 실시한다고 밝혔다.

예방접종을 하면 패혈증, 뇌수막염 등 침습성 폐렴구균 감염으로 인한 합병증을 예방할 수 있다고 했다.

예방접종은 보건소와 지역 내 병의원 5개소 '양구성심병원, 이외과의원, 튼튼의원, 밝은미래의원, 양구세브란스의원'에서 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지 실시하고, 예방접종을 희망하는 대상자는 신분증을 지참하고 접종기관으로 방문하면 된다고 했다.

고혈압, 당뇨, 심장질환, 신장질환, 폐질환 등 기저질환이 대상자는 의사와 상담한 후 예방접종을 하고, 예방접종 후에는 20~30분가량 머물면서 급성 이상반응 여부를 관찰하고 귀가해야 한다고 전했다.
