[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 11월 1일부터 동두천시는 중앙도심광장에서 운영 중이던 임시선별검사소를 동두천시민회관 주차장으로 이전해 운영한다고 밝혔다.

임시선별검사소는 무증상 확진자를 조기 발견하고 지역 내 2차 감염 확산을 사전에 차단하기 위해 코로나19 증상 및 역학적 연관성이 없더라도 시민 누구나 검사가 가능하며, 검사를 희망하는 시민들은 평일 오전 9시30분부터 17시까지 방문하면 되고, '점심 및 방역조치 시간 11시30분부터 14시까지'라고 했다.

시는 주차 공간 확보, 화장실 등 편의시설 제공, 겨울철 한파 대비 등을 고려하여 임시선별검사소를 이용하는 시민들의 편의 제공을 위해 장소를 이전할 계획이라고 전했다.

시 관계자는 “증상이 없는 시민이라도 코로나19가 의심되면 우리시 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 적극적으로 검사를 받아주길 바란다”고 전했다.
