[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 9일 동두천시 소요동 행정복지센터는 로컬드림봉사회에서 소요동 취약계층 지원을 위한 희망나눔상자 운영에 써달라며 마스크 5,000매를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

로컬드림봉사회 이창민 회장은 “지인이 로컬드림봉사단 운영에 써달라고 후원한 마스크인데, 봉사자들 보다 코로나19로 형편이 어려운 분들께 쓰이는 것이 좋을 것 같아, 후원자의 동의를 구해 기부하게 됐다”고 취지를 밝혔다.

소요동 희망나눔상자는 생활형편이 어려워 식료품 등을 구입하기 힘든 취약계층이 자유롭게 이용할 수 있도록, 소요동 행정복지센터내에 비치되어 있으며, 이용자들이 점점 늘어나는 추세이라고 했다. 

한편, 로컬드림봉사회는 매주 길거리 청소를 통해 버려진 공병을 모아 마련한 돈으로, 지난달 라면 6박스를 소요동 희망나눔상자에 기부했으며, 이날도 희망나눔상자 2차 기부를 통해 취약계층에 대한 지원을 이어나가고 있다고 말했다.
