[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 22일 직장새마을운동포천시협의회는 연말을 맞아 이웃을 위한 따뜻한 겨울나기 ‘사랑의 연탄 나눔 봉사’를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 봉사에는 이경묵 포천시새마을회장, 조규석 새마을지도자포천시협의회장, 이정순 포천시새마을부녀회장, 직장새마을운동포천시협의회 회원 15명 등이 참여해 관내 소외계층 19가구에 5,000장의 연탄을 전달했다고 했다.

정미옥 직장새마을운동포천시협의회장은 “코로나19로 어려운 이웃에게 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있게 조금이나마 도움을 드릴 수 있어 기쁘다.”라며 “내년 겨울에도 지속적으로 지원하도록 힘쓰겠다.”라고 말했다.
