[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 23일 양주시 광적면은 크린양주에서 취약계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 지원하고자 온품캠페인 성품 연탄 1,000장을 기부했다고 밝혔다.

크린양주는 관내 생활폐기물 수집·운반을 전문적으로 수행하는 업체로, 광적면에 거주하는 기초생활수급자 2가구에 각 500장씩 방역수칙을 준수하며 직접 전달했다고 했다.

정소라 대표는 “코로나19 장기화로 인해 연탄기부가 감소했다는 소식을 듣고 연탄을 기부하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 매년 소외계층에게 지속적인 관심과 사랑을 가지고 연탄 나눔 봉사활동을 진행할 예정이다”라고 전했다.

권순용 면장은 "광적면 주민을 위해 귀한 연탄을 기부해준 크린양주에 진심으로 감사드린다"며 "이번 연탄 나눔을 통해 우리 이웃들이 난방 걱정 없이 따뜻한 겨울을 지낼 수 있게 되어 마음이 놓인다"고 말했다.
