[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시는 다가오는 제74주년 국군의날(10. 1.), 제4354주년 개천절(10. 3.), 576돌 한글날(10. 9.)을 맞아, 국가 상징인 태극기 달기 운동을 통해 대한민국의 헌법 제정을 경축하고, 나라사랑하는 마음을 드높이고자 『나라사랑 태극기 달기 운동』을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 10월 중 기념일과 국경일을 맞이하여 태극기 게양일은 오는 10월 1일, 10월 3일, 10월 9일이며, 게양대상은 관공서 및 각 가정, 민간기업·단체, 주요 도로변 등이다.

게양시간은 매일 국기를 게양하는 국가·자치단체 및 공공기관 청사에서는 평소대로 24시간 게양하고 각 가정 및 민간기업·단체에서는 07시부터 18시까지 게양하면 된다.

아울러, 시에서는 주요 도로변에 국군의 날 전일인 9월 30일부터 10월 9일까지 10일간 가로기를 게양할 예정이다. 

박형덕 동두천시장은 “10월 중 기념일 및 국경일을 맞이하여 나라의 소중함과 문화에 대한 자부심을 되새기는 계기로 삼고, 나라 사랑하는 마음을 드높일 수 있도록 시민들의 적극적인 태극기 달기 운동 동참을 부탁드린다”며, 자녀와 함께 국기를 게양하거나 강하할 때 특히 안전사고 발생에 주의해 줄 것을 당부했다.
