[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 7월 1일부터 8월 31일까지 양양군은 양양 남대천 인피니티 물놀이장을 운영한다고 전했다.

사회적 거리두기 해제와 여름철을 맞아 문을 여는 남대천 야외 물놀이장은 지역주민과 관광객에게 시원하게 물놀이를 즐길 수 있는 자연 친화적 공간을 제공하자는 취지에서 마련됐으며 남대천 인피니티 물놀이장은 어린이 물놀이장, 유아 물놀이장과 샤워장, 탈의실, 야간조명 등의 편의시설이 구비되어 있고, 이용객의 안전과 물놀이장 주변위생 관리를 위해 운영 보조요원을 배치해 운영할 계획이라고 했다. 

양양 남대천을 찾는 누구나 이용 가능하며 이용료, 샤워장, 탈의실 등 모두 무료이며 운영시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 운영(매주 월요일 휴장)하고, 야간조명과분수대는 20시부터 23시까지 가동하며 물놀이장 최대 수심은 30cm 안팎으로 운영해 구명장비에 구애받지 않아도 된다는 장점이 있다고 밝혔다.

남성일 남대천보전과장은 “이번에 운영하는 남대천 인피니티 물놀이장이 남대천을 찾는 지역주민과 외지 방문객에게 시원하고 안전하게 힐링할 수 있는 무더위 쉼터가 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
