동두천시 관내 시민단체들과 기업들이 코로나19로 어려워진 지역민들에게 따뜻한 온정의 손길을 내밀고 있어 화제가 되고있다.

동두천 훼미리식품(대표 김동환)은 여름마다 독거노인, 복지사각지대 대상자들을 위해 선풍기를 꾸준히 기부해오고 있으며, 지난 21일 관내 저소득층 연탄 사용자들을 위해 연탄은행에 후원금 100만원을 전달했다, 김동환 대표는 연말연시를 맞아 난방에 취약한 저소득 독거노인, 복지사각지대 대상자들을 위해 연탄 후원금을 전달하면서 "온정의 손길이 필요한 분들에게 따뜻한 마음이 전해졌으면 좋겠다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.

 

이에 연탄은행 오성환 목사는 “코로나19와 경기침체로 어려운 상황에서도 후원금을 전달해주셔서 감사드리며, 기부해주신 성금으로 지역사회 어려운 이웃들에게 소중히 연탄으로 전하겠다.”고 말했다.

또, 동두천시 로컬드림봉사회(회장:이창민)은 다양한 봉사선행으로 지역 내 1위의 봉사실적을 기록하고 있으며, 지역 공동체 회복에 큰 모범이 되고 있는 봉사단체다. 로컬드림봉사회는 지난 22일 동두천시청 관내 지역아동센터에 피자 100판(210만원 상당) 전달하기위해 시청을 찾았다.
