[남상훈 기자 = 경기도] 22일 임광현 경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회 부위원장이 도의회 대회의실에서 열린 ‘제11회 홍재의정대상’ 시상식에서 수상의 영예를 안았다고 밝혔다.

홍재의정대상은 애민사상을 실천하며 탕평책을 폈던 조선 22대 임금 정조대왕의 호인 홍재를 본떠 제정한 상으로 매년 우리 사회 발전과 복지향상에 기여한 의원을 선정해 수여하는 상이다.

임 의원은 제11대 의회 문화체육관광위원회 부위원장으로서 도민들의 문화체육 삶의 질 향상 및 경기도 발전을 위한 도정 추진에 노력했다. 또한 경기도 체육분야 위탁사무 조정방안을 모색했으며 문화체육관광 분야 현안 분석, 예산안 조정 및 심의 등에서 탁월한 상임위 활동과 더불어 지역현안 정담회를 수시로 갖는 등 도민들을 위한 의정활동을 펼쳤다는 평가를 받고 있으며 사회적 귀감이 돼 수상하게 됐다.

특히, 지역구인 가평군 청평면 삼회리~ 서종면 구간(야밀고개)의 선형개선공사가 예산부족으로 지연된것에 내년도 예산에 73억 추가 연부액을 반영 내년 말 완공에 기여했다. 또한 설악면 어비산길 농수로 보 철거로 인한 주민불편 신고를 접수해 현장점검을 통해 가평군에 신속한 농수공급을 요청, 주민들의 생활불편을 해소하는 데 앞장섰다. 

이날 공로패를 받은 임광현 의원은 수상 소감에서 “이번 수상은 주민들의 의견을 적극 경청하고, 경기도의 발전을 위해 더욱 열심히 하라고 준 귀한 상으로 생각한다”며, “앞으로도 도민과 지역구 군민의 지속가능한 이익을 위하여 적극적인 소통을 통해 현장의 목소리가 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
