[남상훈 기자 = 의정부] 김동근 의정부시장의 집무실이 직원들과 티타임을 갖는 ‘카페 무지개’로 변신했다고 밝혔다.

‘카페 무지개’는 매월 시장과 직원들이 만나 다양한 이야기를 나누는 의정부시의 내부 소통 시책으로, 일반 직원들이 기관장 직위에 느끼는 부담감을 덜고, 보다 격의 없는 만남이 이루어질 수 있도록 카페라는 콘셉트를 활용하고 있다.

이번 달의 ‘카페 손님’은 맑은물사업소 소속 직원 아홉 명으로, 30년 차 행정직 선배부터 막 임용된 공업직 후배까지 다양한 직급과 직렬의 직원들이 모였다. 김동근 시장은 쉬운 질문이나 농담을 던지며 분위기를 편안하게 이끌어가려고 노력했고, 처음에 시장 앞에 조심스러운 기색이 역력했던 직원들은 시간이 지나자 서로의 대화에 웃거나 차분하게 생각을 얘기하기 시작했다.
