㈜의정환경개발 김기정 대표는 “100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동이 시작되었다는 소식을 듣고 어려운 이웃들이 따뜻한 연말을 보내기를 바라는 마음으로 생활폐기물 수집운반 5개 업체가 100만 원씩 500만 원을 기탁하게 되었다.”고 말했다. 

황범순 의정부시 부시장은 “의정부시민을 위해 매년 성금을 기탁해 주셔서 감사드리며 뜻깊은 성금은 어려운 이웃들에게 잘 전달하여 경제적 어려움을 해소하는 데에 도움이 되도록 하겠다.”고 전했다.

이날 성금을 전달해 준 업체는 ㈜의정환경개발, ㈜녹색환경, 일창환경㈜, ㈜미래환경, ㈜오커이며 매년 의정부시를 통해 성금을 기부했다고 밝혔다.
