양주시는 명절 기간 생활쓰레기 처리와 환경 관련 민원에 신속하게 대응하기 위해 생활쓰레기 관리대책반과 가로청소 비상대기 기동반을 편성해 운영하며, 또한 설 연휴 기간 평소보다 많이 발생하는 생활쓰레기의 안정적인 수거를 위해 생활폐기물과 음식물 쓰레기, 재활용 쓰레기를 오는 1월 29일과 31일에 정상 수거하고, 공동주택의 경우 음식물 쓰레기로 인한 불편사항을 해소하기 위해 2월 2일 추가 수거할 예정이라고 했다.

양주시 관계자는“설 연휴 동안 시민들이 쓰레기로 인한 불편사항이 없도록 최선을 다할 계획”이라며 “발생하는 쓰레기는 수거일정과 배출시간을 준수해 배출해주길 당부드린다”고 말했다.

연휴기간 생활쓰레기 등 청소 관련 민원은 양주시청 당직실, 청소행정과 청소행정팀으로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.
