군은 지난 7월부터 응급안전안심서비스 장비 1,552대를 보급하고 있다. 차세대 장비는 최신 사양의 응급호출기, 화재감지기, 활동량감지기(심박・호흡), 조도・습도・온도감지센서 및 태블릿PC 기반의 통신단말장치(게이트웨이) 등 최신 ICT 기술을 전면 도입한 것이 특징이다.

이를 통해 홀로 생활하는 노인이 스스로 응급 전화를 하기 어렵더라도 장비의 다양한 감지기(센서)들이 24시간 서비스 대상자의 활동, 심박・호흡, 수면시간 등을 확인하고 화재, 낙상 등 응급상황에서 구호 조치가 가능하도록 자동연결하여 신속한 대처가 가능하다.
