[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11일 문곡소도동 지역사회보장협의체는 코로나 19 장기화에 따른 독거 노인들의 고립감과 우울감을 해소하기 위해 콩나물 키트 나눔사업을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

독거노인 반려식물 보급사업의 일환으로 진행된 이번 나눔행사는 한달 동안 관내 어르신 50명을 대상으로 콩나물 키우기 키트를 제공해 정서적 안정감을 제공하고 삶의 의욕을 향상시키기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

동 지역사회보장협의체 위원들은 반려식물 키우기 사업과 연계해 관내 홀몸 어르신을 찾아 안부를 묻고 말벗 나눔 등의 돌봄도 병행할 계획이라고 전했다.

콩나물 키우기 키트를 제공받은 한 어르신은 “손수 정성들인 콩나물이 쑥쑥 자라는 모습을 보니 키우는 재미가 쏠쏠하다.”고 말했다.

심상운 민간위원장은 “이번 콩나물 키우기 키트 사업을 통해 어르신들이 정서적 안정감을 얻고 우울감을 해소해 활기를 되찾길 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 우리 지역 주민들을 위한 사업을 발굴해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
