[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)는 질병사 및 고독사가 사회적 문제로 지속 대두되고 있어, 취약가구를 적극 발굴해 고위험 1인 가구의 고독사 예방 및 돌봄사각지대 해소를 위해 사랑의 1분 전화를 확대 운영한다고 밝혔다.

시에서는 지난 2017년 부터 음성문자전송을 통해 독거노인, 중증장애인, 중·장년 은둔형 외톨이 등 각종 위기상황에 취약한 복지대상자에게 수신 여부를 알 수 있는 메시지를 보내 안부를 확인하고 있으며,

2차례 이상 메시지 미수신 대상자의 경우에는 관할 행정복지센터의 찾아가는 보건복지팀에서 가정방문을 통해 맞춤형 복지서비스를 제공하고 있다.

지난해에는 주 1~3회씩 총 7,253건의 안부를 확인하였으며, 대상자들이 대부분 고령인 점을 감안해 친숙하게 다가갈 수 있도록 음성메시지 형태로 전송하고 있다.  

이기선 복지과장은 "사랑의 1분 전화 사업으로 위기상황을 신속히 파악하여 탄탄한 상시보호체계를 구축함으로써 복지사각지대가 없는 행복한 동해시 만들기에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
