[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 15일 의정부시 신곡1동통장협의회는 코로나 극복 범시민 이웃사랑 나눔 캠페인 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동 창구에 성금 150만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

신곡1동통장협의회는 지난 2020년 사랑릴레이에서도 연말연시를 앞두고 소외되기 쉬운 이웃을 위해 사랑의 성금을 기탁한 바 있으며, 복지사각지대 발굴, 사랑의 쌀 나눔, 중랑천 제방 벽화 조성, 코로나19 방역 활동 등 다방면에서 봉사활동을 필치며 지역사회 발전과 복지 체감도 향상에 이바지해 왔다고 했다.

우경숙 신곡1동 통장협의회 회장은 “코로나19로 모두가 어려운 경제상황이나 우리 지역사회에 조금이나마 보탬이 되기 위해 성금을 기탁했다”며 “앞으로도 따뜻한 지역사회를 만들기 위해 솔선수범하겠다”고 밝혔다.
