[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시의회는 최근 집중 호우로 피해를 입은 관내 수해 현장을 방문했다고 밝혔다.

최정희 의장과 의정부시 김동근 시장은 지난 9일 가능동 일원 집중호우로 피해를 입은 주택 현장을 찾아 피해 상황을 살피고 수해 지역 주민들과 복구 작업 중인 관계자들의 애로사항을 청취했다. 

한편 지난 8일 오후 호우경보가 발효된 가운데 주민피해 최소화를 위해 관계 공무원들이 비상근무 중에 있으며 집중호우로 인한 수해 침수지역 수습 등 안전조치에 만전을 기하고 있다.

최정희 의장은 “폭우로 피해를 입은 주민들께 위로의 말씀을 전하며 신속한 복구와 지원이 이뤄지고, 11일까지 예정된 폭우 예보에도 침수로 인한 시민들의 피해가 최소화될 수 있도록 시의회 차원의 노력을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
