이번 홍보 및 조사 대상은 관내 전담관이 지정된 가금농장으로, 특별방역대책기간동안 별도 조치 시까지 농가의 방역 활동 경각심을 재고하고자 가금농장에 전담관이 매일 방역수칙을 전화로 홍보한다고 했다. 

최근 전국 가금농장에서 연이어 고병원성 AI가 발생하여, 지난해 11월 이후 19건이 확진됨에 따라, 이번 홍보·조사는 한파로 인해 추가적으로 가금농장 방역 여건이 악화될 우려가 있는 상황에서 AI발생을 차단하는 방역활동 강화를 위한 조치의 일환이라고 전했다.

주요 홍보 방역수칙은 겨울철 오후 2~3시 농장소독, 소독시설·장비 동파 방지 조치, 농장 출입구 고정식 소독시설+고압분무기로 2단계 소독 등이며, 전담관이 매주1회 농가를 직접 방문하여 홍보한 방역수칙의 준수 여부를 확인 후 모바일 KAHIS 시스템에 입력하는 방식으로 조사가 진행되고, 군은 이번 홍보·조사를 통해 다소 느슨해질 수 있는 AI에 대한 농가의 경각심을 높이고 차단방역 효과를 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다고 했다. 

전윤철 농업축산과장은 “우리군은 아직까지 비교적 AI로부터 청정한 지역으로 인식되지만, 언제든 발생할 수 있다는 경각심을 잃지 않고 차단방역활동을 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.
