[김현우 기자 = 원주] 원주시는 오는 15일부터 2023년 3월 15일까지를 ‘겨울철 자연재해 대책 기간’으로 정하고 자연재해로부터 시민의 안전과 재산을 보호하기 위한 총력 대응에 나선다고 밝혔다.

원주시는, 시청 내 소관부서와 원주경찰서, 원주소방서 등 유관기관으로 구성된 전담 T/F팀을 운영하는 동시에 군부대·민간협회·인근 지자체와의 협력체계를 구축할 계획이다.

또한, 재난 관리실태 보고회 개최, 수방자재 확보 및 읍면동별 응급 복구장비 협약을 체결하는 한편 지역 자율방재단을 통한 재해취약지역 예찰 활동도 강화할 방침이다.

이와 함께 재해 예·경보 시스템 점검, 폐쇄회로(CCTV）통합관제센터 및 재난안전상황실 영상정보를 활용한 실시간 모니터링도 실시할 예정이다.

이 밖에도, 예비특보 단계부터 철저하게 대비하기 위해 재난 종합 상황실을 운영하고 비상단계별 근무체계를 가동할 계획이다.

원강수 시장은“시민의 생명과 안전을 보호하는 것은 무엇보다 우선시해야 할 원주시의 사명”이라고 밝혔다. 

이어, “기후변화의 일상화와 재난환경의 불확실성 증가로 겨울철 재해 발생 빈도와 수위가 높아지고 있는 만큼, 철저한 사전 대비를 통해 피해가 최소화될 수 있도록 행정력을 집중하겠다.”라고 덧붙였다.
